Beto's Burrito Book Launch
The author of Beto's Burrito, Tom McDaniel, passed away on July 7, 2012. To remember him, we are accepting donations in lieu of flowers. We know that he would appreciate CAMH Foundation's continued support of families struggling with addiction and mental illness and would be happy that his life continues to make a difference.
Celebrate the launch of the much-awaited Beto's Burrito, a picture book for children 5 years old and beyond. The book is an ongoing collaboration between the author, Cassie McDaniel, and her father, and this party will mark the culmination of years of hard work!
We will have a reading of the story, flying popsicle plush toys and other handmade decorations, a behind-the-scenes expo revealing the book's process, Latin-themed music, food and refreshments, and book signings.
Give-aways will include original artwork, prints, a signed book, and possibly (and probably) other handmade or donated gifts.
This FREE event will be hosted on a Sunday afternoon at the beautiful space of the new Graven Feather Gallery, close to Trinity Bellwoods Park. The venue will also be close to the CAMH Foundation, to which the author will be donating 50% of profits from all book sales. If you would like to donate directly to the CAMH Foundation, please see the section below.
The event will be family and kid-friendly, so please bring your little ones!
