CAMH serves and supports people with all types of mental illnesses and addictions – ranging in severity and length of treatment required. Specifically, we treat people with the following mental illnesses:
- Anxiety Disorders
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Bipolar Disorder
- Borderline Personality Disorder
- Concurrent Disorders (people with mental illness and addiction)
- Depression
- Dual Diagnosis (people with an intellectual disability and mental illness)
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Psychosis
- Schizophrenia
- Trauma
Addiction treatment is another major aspect of CAMH's care. This includes the following addictions:
- Alcohol
- Tobacco
- Gambling
- Drugs (cocaine, marijuana, amphetamines, anabolic steroids, benzodiazepines, caffeine, ecstasy, GHB, hallucinogens, inhalants, ketamine, LSD, methamphetamine, rohypnol, crystal meth, oxycontin, opioids, methadone)
With central care located in Toronto, CAMH professionals are also located in 26 communities throughout Ontario and work with local service providers to improve the quality and accessibility of services.
