On Wednesday, October 14, 2009, the CAMH Foundation hosted the highly anticipated Queen Street Unmasked event in support of the redevelopment of the CAMH Queen Street facilities. Thank you for making this an event to remember!
On Wednesday, October 14, 2009, the CAMH Foundation hosted the 3rd annual Queen Street Unmasked and raised close to $600,000 for the CAMH Redevelopment project.
The event began with private dinners held in Queen Street West area restaurants and galleries featuring some of Toronto's top chefs and caterers, and was followed by an afterparty at Maro nightclub in Liberty Village where partygoers "lifted the mask" on the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiciton.
The After Party, emceed by George Stroumboulopoulos of CBC's The Hour, featured a live art auction, spectacular food stations, celebrity guests and entertainment including performances by Divine Brown and Chantal Kreviazuk, with Kardinal Offishal as celebrity DJ for the evening. The popular "Mystery Raffle" returned for 2009 with more than 20 premium items including spa packages, dining certificates, sports packages, must-have items, and one-of-a-kind experiences worth a total value of $10,000 that one lucky winner took home!
Since its inception in 2006, the event has enjoyed continued growth, attracting an eclectic crowd of more than 600 supporters from all walks of life including celebrities from television, film and music, stars from the business community and some of Toronto's top chefs who came out in support of CAMH.

...And as if celebrities from television, film and music weren't enough, stars from the business community, the Queen Street West community and some of Toronto's top chefs came together in a spectacular show of support for the work of CAMH and the Queen Street site redevelopment project.
On Wednesday, February 27th, an eclectic crowd of more
than 500 people from all walks of life packed The Drake Hotel to capacity at Queen Street Unmasked, demonstrating that mental illness and addiction issues is a cause whose time has come.
The event was emceed by George Stroumboulopoulos of CBC's The Hour, and featured a live art auction, three floors of delicious food and refreshments, a mystery raffle room, models in full-body harlequin makeup and costume, dancing and spectacular entertainment including a live performance by singer/songwriter Serena Ryder and rapper K-OS as celebrity DJ for the evening.
The evening commenced with exclusive dinner parties throughout the Queen Street West community in restaurants, galleries and private lofts, featuring menus created especially for the event by some of Toronto's most celebrated chefs.
